As the 5th edition of the Sustainable Development Ambassadors Program (SDAP) comes to a close, UM6P’s Sustainable Development Office proudly recognizes the passion and dedication of this inspiring cohort.

Their commitment to driving sustainable change embodies the spirit of innovation and leadership that continues to shape UM6P’s path toward a greener future.

- 168 applications received
- 36 Ambassadors selected
- 14 projects implemented
- Active across Laâyoune, Tetouan, Ben Guerir, and Rabat campuses

As the 5th edition of the Sustainable Development Ambassadors Program (SDAP) comes to a close, UM6P’s Sustainable Development Office proudly highlights the continued momentum of this student-led initiative.

This moment also serves to recognize the 3rd and 4th cohorts’ winners, whose commitment laid the foundation for a growing network of changemakers dedicated to advancing sustainability across UM6P.

In alignment with its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development, UM6P through its Sustainable Development Office celebrates the transformative role of cooperatives in driving economic resilience, environmental responsibility, and social equity.
The Solidarity Market initiative has supported +80 cooperatives by offering a platform to showcase locally sourced, sustainable products to the UM6P community.
This initiative reflects UM6P’s ongoing dedication to empowering communities and fostering innovation through collaboration.

showcased its sustainability initiatives at the Times Higher Education International Sustainable Development Congress, held in Istanbul from June 16th to 19th.

The event, co-hosted with Türkiye's Council of Higher Education, brought together leading institutions committed to sustainable development.

Through our dedicated booth, we highlighted sustainability achievements and explored new global partnerships.

Prof. Dr. Poliana Mendes de Souza led a keynote about food science's crucial role in advancement, joined by 20+ passionate researchers sharing their work. Special thanks to our global contributor Grace Phiri from Zambia for bringing worldwide insights.

Together, we're turning research into action for a sustainable tomorrow.

𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

The Sustainable Development Department in collaboration with The American School of Benguerir organized the 2nd edition of the Eco Heroes initiative.

Through 4 sustainability sessions, the sustainable development ambassadors engaged with 106 students across kindergarten, primary, and middle school levels.

Each session focused on different sustainability themes, delivering interactive learning experiences. The curriculum covered key topics including Sustainable Development , Life on Land and Change, Clean and Renewable , and the Cycle and Conservation.

These hands-on sessions allowed our ambassadors to lead engaging educational activities while enabling children to learn through an interactive and experiential approach. The program successfully combined education with entertainment, making sustainability concepts accessible and enjoyable for young learners.
