This portion of skin, fur, and fat is a protective layer called the primordial pouch, which is found along the cat's abdomen.
These cysts are completely natural and healthy. All cats have them, but they vary greatly in size, some are almost unnoticeable, and some we see swaying back and forth while cats run.
According to experts three reasons for the presence of these cysts in cats :
* First, it protects the cat's internal organs during fighting by having an extra layer between the claws or teeth and the cat's insides.
* Secondly, it allows cats to move faster, as these bags expand as cats move, giving them more flexibility and the ability to move forward with each jump.
* Third, it is extra space to store food after a big meal.
هذا الجزء من الجلد والفراء والدهون هو طبقة واقية تسمى "الكيس البدائي" (primordial pouch)، وهو يوجد على طول بطن القطة.
هذه الأكياس طبيعية وصحية تماما. حيث تمتلكها جميع القطط لكنها تختلف اختلافا كبيرا في الحجم، بعضها يكاد يكون غير ملاحظ، وبعضها نراها تتأرجح ذهابا وإيابا أثناء جري القطط.
3 أسباب لوحود هذه الأكياس لدى القطط حسب الخبراء:
* أولا، هو يحمي الأعضاء الداخلية للقطط أثناء القتال عن طريق وجود طبقة إضافية بين المخالب أو الأسنان ودواخل القطط.
* ثانيا، هو يسمح للقطط بالتحرك بشكل أسرع، فهذه الأكياس تتمدد أثناء تحرك القطط مما يمنحها مزيدا من المرونة والقدرة على المضي قدما مع كل قفزة.
* ثالثا، هو مساحة إضافية لتخزين الطعام بعد تناول وجبة كبيرة.
