In 2020, a zoo in the UK had to separate five parrots that, when grouped together, started insulting visitors and then laughing together.

The incident took place at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. The African grey parrots (also known as “jacos”) were temporarily removed from public display after they learned to swear — something that amused both the birds and some guests.

To prevent this behavior from spreading, the zoo decided to separate them.

From stray to spoiled 😻

A parrot has been blamed for disrupting a space rocket launch by chewing on wiring.

The launch of Australia's first Eris rocket has been delayed due to an unexpected electrical failure. During the investigation, a cockatoo was caught on CCTV footage busily chewing on the cables of vital launch pad equipment.

While the bird has not been officially found guilty, the company has confirmed that it "could at least have been a contributing factor" to the power surge that triggered the rocket's nose cone deployment system.

Family of raccoons stopped Airbus production

A family of raccoons managed to get into the plant in Canada where Airbus is assembled. The animals were able to chew through the wires in the body of one of the planes, and also relieved themselves in the cabin.

Workers noticed a female raccoon climbing onto the chassis. Then the production line was stopped. Employees began searching for animals on the territory of the plant. As a result, they managed to find five cubs. Together with their mother, they were driven out of the plant territory.

The plane was sent for additional inspection so that engineers and technicians could make sure there was no other serious damage.
