Today, Royal Air Maroc will welcome its newest Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, registered as CN-RHA, to its family.

The aircraft is currently en route from Boeing’s Paine Field (PAE) and is expected to touch down in Casablanca (CMN) at 10:30 AM.

However, the aircraft is not expected to enter service for a while as it first needs to undergo further modifications at a maintenance facility in Warsaw, Poland.

Royal Air Maroc will soon take delivery of two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

The first Dreamliner has already been painted in RAM colors and will carry the registration CN-RHA.
It is currently parked in San Antonio (SKF) and will undergo some test flights and regulatory approval before being delivered.

This aircraft was once intended for the Canadian carrier WestJet and previously registered as C-FLJS - however - it was never taken up.

Royal Air Maroc flight AT567 from Casablanca skidded off the runway upon landing at Roberts International Airport in Monrovia (Liberia) in the early hours of Saturday.

The Boeing 737-800 (CN-RGW) was attempting to land amid rainy weather when it briefly veered off the runway. It then continued to taxi to its parking position.

No injuries have been reported, but the aircraft sustained minor damage.

Consequently, the return flight to Casablanca was cancelled, and there are no scheduled flights between Casablanca and Monrovia until Thursday.

It's always sad and amusing (in a bad sense) that people who are trying to get their money back are falling for these "comforting" tactics.

‎FYI: This notorious airline ⁦‪ has recorded a loss of $260 Million last year.
‎This airline has been experiencing financial difficulties for decades and continues to swim in debt due to past mismanagement.

‎As part of their cash flow strategy, ⁦‪‬⁩ is deliberately withholding refunds ... money of customers who are entitled to a refund or other forms of compensation due to flight irregularities.

‎And they manage to do so by deceiving their customers with these mentioned "comforting" tactics which you can easily spot en masse on their social media feeds: https://twitter.com/RAM_Maroc/with_replies⤵️

‎---

‎"Hello,
‎For better assistance, please provide us by DM your full name and your case number."

‎"Bonjour, une réponse vous a été communiquée en DM."

‎"Hello,
‎we apologize for the time your case has taken. We have notified the department in charge to get back to you as soon as possible."

‎---

‎Their customer service and social medias teams are being given orders from above to make you believe that you will "soon" get your money back - when in reality this is all just a game of time-playing.
‎They see your money as an interest-free loan in order to stay liquid on cheap terms.

‎Some might not have a problem waiting for a $1000 refund for +90 days, but others who experience financial difficulties themselves DO.

‎As I have been telling people on this platform and on others for years:

‎1. Set a deadline in your compensation request according to the passenger rights in your home country (f. e. if your cancelled flight originated from an EU-country you are covered by Flight Compensation Regulation 2004)

‎2. Once the deadline has passed move straight to the legal process. Consult a lawyer / claims management company etc.
‎Of course, you will have to cover legal fees at first, but in a lot of countries once a court has acknowledged your claim, the losing party has to pay for your legal costs.

‎If you do anything else other than that ⬆️, you are playing their game.

‎This is not bashing against customer service agents - they are just doing their job and doing what they are being told.

‎This is addressed to the management of ‬⁩‪ beginning with Abdelhamid Addou who is in total accountability for this disastrous customer (DIS)SERVICE and the reputational damage this all has had on the national carrier and on the country of Morocco 🇲🇦

‎Please share this, so people know what's happening with their money that they spent with this airline - without getting anything in return ... besides:

‎"Hello, please join us by DM for better assistance."
