A South Carolina judge denied bond for Saylor Hayes’ parents, John Hayes III and Geordyn Hayes, after they returned to the state to face charges related to their daughter’s d . The judge said there was “no way on this earth” he would grant a personal-recognizance bond.

Both parents remain behind bars and are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 19. Authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the 5-year-old’s d , while the charges against her parents have not been proven in court.
