I’ve been incredibly lucky to visit some amazing places around the world.

Places I dreamed about seeing.
Places I’d only ever seen in photos.
Places I never imagined I’d actually make it to.

And somehow, some places stay with you forever.

Not just because of how beautiful they were… but because of how they made you feel.

They leave a little mark on you. 🤍

Sometimes you come somewhere for the sunsets. 🌅
The adventure.
The beaches. 🏝️
The mountains. 🏔️
The food.
The bucket-list moment.

But you leave with something you didn’t expect.

A memory you’ll never forget.
A feeling you can’t quite explain.
A moment that changes the way you see the world.

Because maybe that’s the real reason we travel.

We come here for one thing…

And leave with so much more. 🌍✨

So I want to know:

What place have you visited that left a little mark on you?

📣 COMMENT the destination that stayed with you long after you came home.

There’s something about Greece that tricks me into believing I should probably just live here permanently. 🇬🇷😂🤍

Every single time I visit, the exact same thing happens.

I arrive, look out at the sea, eat one souvlaki, and suddenly I’m online checking property prices on islands I can’t even pronounce properly.

One minute I’m telling myself, “It’s just a holiday.”

The next?

I’m convincing myself that I’d thrive in a tiny whitewashed house overlooking the Aegean, despite the fact I can barely keep my plants alive back home.

There’s just something about Greece.

The slower pace of life.

The endless sunshine.

The food that somehow tastes better when you’re eating it by the sea.

And the fact that absolutely nobody seems to be in a rush to do anything.

Meanwhile, back home, I’m stressed because the supermarket queue is taking too long.

Honestly, every time I leave Greece, it feels less like coming home and more like I’ve accidentally left my real life behind.

Maybe it’s the sunsets.

Maybe it’s the people.

Or maybe it’s the fact that after two weeks of Greek food, I’ve convinced myself I could happily survive on tzatziki and gyros forever.

All I know is that every time I visit, I leave with hundreds of photos, an extra suitcase full of fridge magnets, and a completely unrealistic plan to move here one day. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only person who visits a country and immediately starts planning an imaginary new life there? 👇

WHY GREECE NEVER GETS OLD 🇬🇷☀️🤍

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know there’s one place I keep finding myself drawn back to… Greece. 😍

I’ve been lucky enough to visit several times now, but somehow it never loses its magic.

You’d think that after a few trips, the excitement would start to fade… but every time I land, I’m reminded exactly why I keep coming back. ✈️✨

Maybe it’s the slower pace of life, the endless sunshine, or the fact that every island feels completely different from the last.

One trip can be spent exploring ancient ruins and hidden villages, while the next is all about lazy afternoons by the sea and late dinners that somehow turn into midnight conversations. 🌊🍷

And then, of course, there’s the food. Fresh seafood, warm pita, Greek salads, souvlaki, and meals that seem to taste even better with a sea view. 🤤

What I love most, though, is how Greece makes you slow down. It reminds you that life isn’t always about rushing from one thing to the next. Sometimes, the best moments are the simplest ones: watching the sunset, swimming in crystal-clear water, or sharing a meal with good company. 💙

That’s why Greece never gets old to me. Every trip feels different, but somehow it always feels like coming home. 🇬🇷✨

So, I’ve put together the nine reasons I keep coming back year after year. 👀

Do you agree, or is there something else that makes Greece so special to you?

Sometimes the best places are the ones nobody talks about enough. ✨🇦🇺

It isn’t always the biggest city or the most famous landmark that stays with you.

But every now and then, you visit somewhere that completely exceeds your expectations… and you wonder why more people aren’t talking about it.

For me, that place is Western Australia. 💙

While most travellers head straight for the east coast, Western Australia feels like a completely different world.

The beaches genuinely look photoshopped…think impossibly white sand, water so turquoise it barely seems real, and stretches of coastline where you’ll often have the entire place to yourself. 🏝️

Then there’s the wildlife.

Where else can you swim with whale sharks, meet quokkas, watch humpback whales migrate, and spot kangaroos relaxing on the beach, all in the same state? 🦘🐬🐋

And the road trips? They’re the kind you’ll be talking about for years.

One day you’re driving past pink lakes and ancient forests, the next you’re exploring rugged gorges, hidden beaches and endless coastlines that feel completely untouched. 🚐

Perhaps the best part of all is the space.

No fighting for the perfect sunset spot. No queues for viewpoints. No overcrowded beaches. Instead, you’ll often find yourself wondering how nobody else is there. 🌅

From Ningaloo to the Kimberley, Western Australia still feels wild, raw and refreshingly unspoilt. 🌿

And when you finally head home, you’ll return with stories most people have never heard before.

That’s the magic of Western Australia. 💙

Have you been, or is it still on your bucket list?

EVERY UNFORGETTABLE STOP ON MY GREECE CRUISE WITH ⚓️ VARIETY CRUISES ⚓️ 🇬🇷⛵

One of the things I love most about small ship cruising is that every day brings somewhere completely different to explore.

From ancient cities and hidden island villages to crystal clear swim stops and sea caves, this itinerary was packed with unforgettable moments I’d never have experienced on a larger ship.

Here’s everywhere we visited:

📍 Athens – The perfect place to begin the adventure, surrounded by thousands of years of history.

📍 Poros – A charming island with colourful waterfronts, peaceful streets, and endless Greek island charm.

📍 Swim Stop 🌊 – Anchored in turquoise water with nothing around us except the sea. One of those moments that reminds you why you travel.

📍 Nafplion – Beautiful Venetian architecture, colourful alleyways, and one of Greece’s most picturesque towns.

📍 Swim Stop 💙 – Another chance to dive straight from the ship into some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen.

📍 Monemvasia – A breathtaking medieval fortress town that feels like stepping back in time.

📍 Cave Exploring 🪨 – Exploring hidden sea caves by boat was an experience I’ll never forget.

📍 Folegandros – Whitewashed streets, blue domed churches, and one of my favourite islands of the entire trip.

📍 Santorini – The iconic white buildings and dramatic caldera views never disappoint.

📍 Mykonos – Wandering through its famous maze of whitewashed lanes, colourful doors, and waterfront windmills.

📍 Syros – A beautiful ending to the journey with elegant architecture, authentic Greek charm, and far fewer crowds.

Every destination had its own personality, and travelling by small ship meant we could experience Greece at a slower pace, discovering places and moments that bigger cruises often miss.

💬 Which stop would be first on your Greece bucket list?

I ate everything I could in Greece… and here’s the verdict. 🇬🇷🍽️🤍

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know by now… I could keep going back to Greece and never get bored. 😍

The views are incredible, the people are so welcoming… but let’s be honest…

The food is what keeps calling me back. 🤤

Every trip, I make it my mission to order at least one or two dishes I’ve never tried before. Some become instant favourites… others, not so much. 😅

This year, I finally tried Lahanodolmades (stuffed cabbage rolls). 🌿

They definitely weren’t terrible… but they also weren’t something I’d rush to order again. Sometimes you have to take one for the team in the name of research. 😂

Now let’s talk about the real stars of the show…

🤍 Tzatziki — I genuinely think I could survive on this alone.

🤍 Chicken gyros — Always a 10/10.

🤍 Greek salad — Somehow it tastes better in Greece than anywhere else.

🤍 Fresh seafood — Simple, fresh, and so full of flavour.

🤍 Greek beer… LOVE ITTTTT. 🍺😂 There’s just something about enjoying an ice cold beer overlooking the sea that makes it taste even better.

One of my favourite things about travelling is discovering new food, and Greece never disappoints. Whether it’s a tiny family run taverna in a quiet village or a busy restaurant by the harbour, I’ve honestly had some unforgettable meals here.

So… I rated everything I ate on this trip. 👀

Do you agree with my scores, or is there a Greek dish I absolutely need to try next time?
