Crossing the road in Marrakech is definitely… an experience. 😂

Once you understand how it works, it becomes much less intimidating. Just remember to stay alert, make eye contact, and never assume every vehicle is going to stop!

If you’re visiting Marrakech, one thing you might find frustrating is the yellow taxis. You probably ended up using InDrive most of the time because you knew the price before getting in.

But once you learn what the journeys should actually cost, using the official yellow taxis becomes much easier. The same trips I was paying 25–50dh for are now costing me around 10–15dh.

A small win, but it definitely makes you feel a little more like a local. 🇲🇦🚕

Not all olives are the same 🫒

Green, purple, brown and black olives don’t necessarily come from different trees-the colour often depends on when they’re picked and how they’re cured.

🟢 Green olives are harvested early and tend to be firmer and more bitter.
🟣 Purple olives are partially ripened.
⚫ Black olives are left on the tree longer, developing a softer texture and richer flavour.

Same fruit, different stages, completely different taste experiences.
