ANZWI: the Amazigh Climate Podcast, co-founded by Rachid Ennassiri and Ikbale Bouziane, aims to educate and activate the Amazigh rural communities on climate issues. Focused on youth and the general public in climate-threatened areas, it will cover environmental challenges, sustainable practices, and the preservation of resources. Through content development, community engagement, and wide distribution, the project seeks to democratize climate crisis awareness, empower youth, amplify marginalized voices, and connect local know how with environmental stewardship. With local partners and a solid monitoring plan, it aspires to inspire action and foster a deeper climate action. The Anzwi "ⴰⵏⵣⵡⵉ" Podcast addresses critical needs by bridging language barriers and targeting communities extremely vulnerable to climate change in Morocco's Atlas mountains. Funding this project is vital due to its innovative approach in using native Amazigh language to disseminate knowledge on climate issues, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for those most affected yet often overlooked. By empowering local communities with information and knowledge to combat climate challenges, the project fosters a proactive stance towards sustainability and resilience of these communities. Its focus on integrating traditional knowledge and local know how with contemporary environmental practices promises a lasting impact, preserving cultural heritage while promoting sustainable development. This dual focus on climate education and cultural preservation makes the project a unique conduit for lasting community transformation, deserving of support.
