That time I was in Australia during the devastating bushfires… 🇦🇺🐨

I’ll never forget visiting a wildlife sanctuary and seeing firsthand how vulnerable so many animals were after the fires. I spent time with the koalas, learned about the impact the bushfires had on their habitat, and tried in my own small way to support the people and sanctuaries working to protect them.

Holding this koala was such an emotional moment. They look so peaceful and gentle, yet their entire world can be changed in a matter of days when their habitat burns.

It was one of those travel experiences that reminded me that traveling isn’t only about seeing beautiful places, sometimes it’s also about witnessing what a place is going through, learning from it, and finding a way to help. ❤️‍🩹🐨🌿
