RMI EPA is happy to confirm that [Cornerstone Assembly of God and Manjabpopo Club], has been successfully registered and will be leading the upcoming Community Cleanup event scheduled for [Saturday, July 6th].

in partnership with US Embassy Majuro facilitated a Financial Investigative Techniques Course in 🇲🇭 with instructors from IRS - Criminal Investigation.

Participants included the Banking Commission – Domestic Financial Intelligence Unit, the Auditor General’s Office, Majuro Police Investigators, the Postal Inspector, local bank managers and compliance officers, and an investigator from the Kili/Bikini/Ejit Local Government.

This course is part of the ongoing cooperation between the U.S. and the Marshall Islands to strengthen the rule of law and combat illicit activities that threaten the security and stability of both countries. It also demonstrates the U.S. Government’s commitment to the enduring partnership with the Marshall Islands under the Compact of Free Association and the shared vision of a .

Introducing a new face of the team: Michel Gruether!

"I’m Michel and I’m very happy to join the GIZ team of the Low Carbon Sea Transport in RMI as an intern! For the next months I’m working on the Juren Ae gathering data and evaluating how everything works. Now I’m still in South Korea helping to complete the vessel.

Last year I finished my first degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Science Emden/Leer in Germany and studying currently for my master’s degree.

For me, the Juren Ae has the potential to become a pioneer in low carbon sea transport. It is very exciting to see a modern sailing cargo ship in action and I’m really looking forward to seeing it in RMI! See you!" -Michel
