This is the Maqam of Imam Muhammad Bin Idris Al-Shafi'i (ra)❤️
Imam Shafi'i (ra) was one of the four great Imams of Ahlus Sunnah and one of the greatest lovers of the Ahl'al-Bayt, the blessed family of Rasul'Allah (ﷺ). Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi (Rahima'ullah) built his tomb out of adab and love for the great scholar. A ship was placed on the dome of his mausoleum to indicate that he was ocean in his knowledge.
When the father of Imam al-Shafi'i passed away, he was a young child so his mother travelled all the way from Gaza to Makkah so he could become a scholar of the religion. He lived in extreme poverty yet he memorised the Qur'an at 7 years old, over 2000 ahadith by the age of 10, and was from the greatest scholars in the world by 18. All of this was due to his mother who raised him all alone in poverty and hunger only wishing for her son to be a servant of this Muhammadan ﷺ religion.
When Imam al-Shafi'i visited Yemen, the people gifted him so much wealth that it could have lasted him for years, yet he gave it all in charity. When returning home, he informed his mother of the money and she said, "Wallahi, if you had brought back a single dirham, I would have never allowed you to enter my home!" When the Imam was in need, he would send a student to Lady Nafisah, the great granddaughter of Rasūlallāh ﷺ so she could pray for him. The student would not return to the imam except that he'd be cured. He famously wrote, 'O Family of the Prophet ﷺ, your love has been made an obligation by Allāh in the Qur'an...'
