တမူးမှာ စစ်မှုထမ်းဖို့ စာရင်းပါနေတဲ့ လူငယ်တွေမတွေ့လို့ လမ်းသွားလမ်းလာများကို အဓမ္မဖမ်းဆီးနေ

ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဩဂုတ်လက စပြီး တမူးမြို့မှာ ရပ်ကွက်တစ်ခုလျှင် လူငယ် ၇ဦးနှုန်း စာရင်းပြုစု ကောက်ခံခဲ့တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
အဲဒီလိုစာရင်းကောက်ခံပြီးနောက် နေအိမ်အထိ စစ်မှုထမ်းဖို့ လိုက်လံခေါ်ဆောင်နေစဉ် လူငယ်အများစုကို မတွေ့ရှိတာကြောင့် အခုလို လမ်းသွားလမ်းလာ များထဲက လူငယ်များကို အဓမ္မဖမ်းဆီးပေါ်တာဆွဲနေတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
" စစ်မှုထမ်းဖို့ စာရင်းပါနေတဲ့လူငယ်တွေ စစ်တပ်က အိမ်ထိလိုက်ခေါ်တော့ မရှိကြဘူးလေ။ တစ်ချို့က နာမည်ပါပေမယ့် အိမ်မှာ မရှိတာကြာပြီ။ တစ်ချို့က တိမ်းရှောင်ကြတာပေါ့ဗျာ။ အခုစစ်တပ်စုဆောင်းရေးအဖွဲ့က လမ်းသွားလမ်းလာ ဆေးသမားဘဲဖြစ်ဖြစ် ဆေးသမား မဟုတ်တဲ့သူကော ကြုံရင်ကြုံသလိုဖမ်းဆီးခေါ်ဆောင်သွားကြတယ်။ လူငယ်ရှိတဲ့ မိဘတွေဆို တော်တော် စိုးရိမ်နေကြရတယ်" လို့ တမူးမြို့ခံတစ်ဦးက Zalen ကိုပြောပါတယ်။
စစ်အုပ်စု ပူးပေါင်းတပ်များက တမူးမြို့မှာ လမ်းဆုံလမ်းခွတွေမှာ လမ်းသွားလမ်းလာများကို စောင့်ကြည့်နေပြီး လူငယ်တွေကို တားဆီး စစ်ဆေးပြီး စစ်မှုထမ်းဖို့ အကျုံးဝင်နေတဲ့ လူငယ်တွေကို အခုလိုဖမ်းဆီးနေတာကြောင့် လူငယ်ရှိတဲ့ မိဘများ အလွန်စိုးရိမ်နေကြတယ်လို့ ဆိုပါတယ်။
" သူတို့က အုပ်စုဖွဲပြီးဖမ်းနေတာ။ အခုရက်ပိုင်း အဖမ်းအဆီးက တော်တော်ကြမ်းတယ်။ အဖမ်းခံရတဲ့အထဲမှာ လူကောင်းတွေလည်းပါသလို ဆေးသမားတွေလည်းပါတယ်။ သူတို့က ဖမ်းဆီးလို့ ရတဲ့လူငယ်တွေကို ရဲစခန်းမှာ ထိန်းသိမ်း စုဆောင်းတာ။ ထွက်ပြေးသွားမှာကြောက်လို့ ဖြစ်မယ်။ လူငယ်တွေအသွား အလာသတိထားကြဖို့လိုလာပြီ" လို့ နောက်ထပ်မြို့ခံတစ်ဦးကလည်း အခုလိုပြောပြထားပါတယ်။

Arbitrary Arrests of Young Men in Tamu Amid Military Conscription Drive

In Tamu town, Sagaing Region, young men listed for military conscription have gone into hiding, prompting security forces to arbitrarily arrest people on the streets, local residents said.
In August, authorities began compiling lists of seven young men per ward for conscription. Following these registrations, soldiers and allied forces started visiting homes to summon the recruits. However, as many of the listed youths could not be found, troops have now turned to indiscriminate arrests of young men in public, locals explained.
“Those whose names are on the list are no longer staying at home. Some have been gone for a long time, some are in hiding. Now, the conscription teams stop young men on the streets—whether they are drug users or ordinary people—and take them away. Parents with sons are deeply worried,” a Tamu resident told Zalen.
Residents said joint military forces have set up checkpoints at major intersections, stopping passersby to check identities. Any eligible youth found to be on the conscription list is being taken into custody, adding to fears among families.
“They are working in groups to make arrests. In recent days, the crackdown has been very harsh. Among those detained are not only ordinary young men but also drug users. The detainees are being kept at Tamu police station, probably to prevent them from escaping. Families are warning their sons to be cautious when going out,” another local source said.
On September 2, joint military teams were also reported to be conducting raids near the Kan Gyi Bridge and at the Laythaptike public housing complex, detaining five young men and several drug users who appeared physically fit. Those arrested were reportedly taken to the Tamu police station.
