❓Who is eligible to participate in the video submission?
Any Myanmar nationality can participate. There are no age or gender restrictions.

❓If I am outside of the country, am I still eligible to participate in this competition?
Absolutely! Anyone outside of the country will be considered to participate in this competition as long as a person holds Myanmar nationality.

❓Are children under the legal age allowed to participate in the competition?
Yes, but children under the age of 16 involved in the production must sign a consent form. Please kindly refer to the consent of participation section in the application form.

❓Can we apply for the submission as a team?
Both individual and group works are eligible for submission. Please do note that there are separate application forms for individual submission and group submission. Please choose it carefully.

❓Is there a limitation on the number of group members in one group?
There is no specified limit on the number of members in a group. However, we do suggest having a maximum of five members in a group to result in a better performance in team work which is the success of the group work.

❓Is there any difference between team members and crew list?
It depends on the collective decision as a group. Generally, the team members that apply for the submission are the ones that play a vital role in making all of the critical decisions since the beginning of the project. You may seek other crew members that are needed for each role accordingly. For example, you may look for an actor for the production although that person may not be in the list of the team members.

❓How many video submissions can each individual or group submit?
Each individual or group is allowed to submit ONLY one video submission.

❓Are there specific types of videos that can be submitted?
Yes, the types of videos that can be submitted include:
• Short Film
• Documentary
• Animated Video
• Role Play / Monologue
• Performance Art
• Interview-based educational video

❓What languages can be used in the video?
The videos must use Burmese language ONLY. Including English subtitles is preferable.

Let’s combat menstrual rights with 5000 MMKs.

Period poverty is a common social issue that women in Myanmar face daily. After the 2021 military coup, due to inflation and armed conflicts, women in refugee camps, basic class families, and women in rural areas were often forced to use a single pad for an extended period beyond the recommended hours. In some rural areas, old cloth and leaves are used as substitutes, leading to infections such as urinary tract infections.

One of the main causes of these struggles is the lack of menstrual supplies and accessibility. Thus, Purple Feminists Group has launched an initiative, titled “Pads Care - A Pack Makes A Difference,” which aims to donate pads to women in need.

PFG has previously donated pads to the most needy regions of Myanmar, such as Shan State, Rakhine State, and the Sagaing Division in 2021, and again in Rakhine State in 2023. This time, in 2024, you can receive a discount coupon for PFG merchandise when you donate pads packages.

📌 How can one participate in this fundraising?
The minimum amount to donate pads for a woman helping her menstrual cycle, one package equal to 5000 MMKs. Depending on your donation packages, you will receive a discount coupon as follows.
