Ever heard of “ikigai”? 🤔 It’s a beautiful concept originating from Japan that translates to “a reason for being” or “a reason to wake up in the morning.” 🌅✨
I stumbled upon this concept three years ago when I was a senior in college, feeling lost and uncertain about my path. Graduation was looming, yet I lacked clarity on what I wanted to do with my life. It was like experiencing a quarter-life crisis at the age of 21. 🎓😔
Discovering ikigai wasn’t an instant game changer, but it did help me clarify my thoughts and find purpose. I learned that ikigai is the sweet spot where your passions, talents, values, and purpose intersect – the essence of a truly meaningful and fulfilling life. 💖
But I definitely recommend reading this book as it is one of my favorite books (as much as I hate reading haha). 📚😄
To summarize: your ikigai lies at the convergence of four key elements:
🍃What you love (your passion)
🍃What you’re good at (your vocation)
🍃What the world needs (your mission)
🍃What you can be paid for (your profession)
Keep in mind though, ikigai isn’t a destination – it’s a journey of self-discovery and growth. Start exploring, embracing your passions, and aligning your actions with your purpose. Your ikigai awaits, ready to illuminate the path to a life filled with meaning and fulfillment. 🌟🌸
