The situation in Myanmar is absolutely
devastating.
Nearly five years after the military coup, the junta continues to rule through violence, fear, and repression. Thousands of civilians have been killed, and in 2025 alone we have seen a record number of airstrikes. Many of these attacks amount to war crimes. They have deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure — schools, hospitals, religious buildings — places that should never be attacked.
Just days ago, a military airstrike hit a hospital in Mrauk-U, killing dozens of innocent people. This is not collateral damage.
This is a strategy of terror.
At the same time, thousands of political prisoners remain behind bars, including our leaders Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint. Many prisoners are subjected to torture, ill-treatment, and denial of medical care.
This year alone, several political prisoners have died in custody.
Now, the military junta is attempting to legitimize its crimes through a so-called election. The
European Union, New Zealand, and many other countries have clearly stated that this is a sham election. Yet inside Myanmar, anyone who dares to speak out against it faces arrest, torture, or
worse.
This is not democracy. This is oppression. And the people of Myanmar must not be forgotten.
That’s why we are here today.
Everyone please we need your help and we need your support. Our people in Myanmar need your help.
Let's fight together…
