YOU BE YOU by VENY LIEW (2025)
Favourite stills that move me as of now.
Working with and being part of this project was truly special. From the moment I first heard the track and spoke with Veny and the team, I knew this song was heading in the right direction — reaching those who feel stuck, unsure of their path, or caught in a loop they didn’t choose.
I was like that, maybe we all do. And I’ve felt it too — the pressure of a hyper-competitive world, social media noise, the weight of expectations. But Veny’s journey reminded me of something simpler, something powerful — the courage to just be yourself. I feel lucky to have helped turn that message into a visual story.
I’m especially grateful for the chance to produce a narrative music video — a style we don’t see much these days, especially for a song like this. A lot of tracks go the flashy K-pop route (which is cool!), but I told them: what if we go sincere? What if we make it honest, heartfelt, and beautiful — a journey told through visuals, blending some of my favorite things: nostalgia, fast cuts, a Japan-meets-America vibe, fashion, and of course, beautiful people…😍😍😍
