🇲🇲| 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀: Aung San Suu Kyi’s Health on the Decline 🥺
🔹Worsening Heart Condition & Urgent Medical Needs.
According to her son, Kim Aris, the 80-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate is experiencing deteriorating heart problems and requires immediate medical attention. She has also been suffering from bone and gum issues and may have suffered injuries during Myanmar’s March earthquake. Suu Kyi has been in military custody since the February 2021 coup.
🔹Denied or Unfulfilled Medical Request.
About a month ago, she requested to see a cardiologist, but it remains unclear whether the request was granted.
🔹No Updates—A Son’s Deep Concern.
Kim Aris expressed grave worries, stating: “Without proper medical examinations… it is impossible to know what state her heart is in… I am extremely worried. There is no way of verifying if she is even alive.”
🔹Lengthy Prison Sentence & Ongoing Political Turmoil.
Suu Kyi is serving a 27-year prison sentence on charges including incitement, corruption, and election fraud—charges she denies. Despite repeated calls for her release, the military-backed interim government has not responded.
