Hamburg-based drummer and producer Silvan Strauss takes footwork’s fast, programmed rhythms and works out how to play them live on his third album ‘SPRINTING’.

Dance runs through the project too, with Strauss collaborating with dancers around the world to translate its rhythms into movement.

For ‘Moskitos (Fliegen)’, Bangkok-based artist Toppy takes the lead on choreography, using heavy, restricted movement to capture the unsettling feeling of sleep paralysis; running without getting anywhere as a nightmare closes in.

Very high levels of PMMA have been detected in “Donald Trump” pills, triggering a red alert in the Netherlands.

Dutch drug safety organisation Trimbos Institute warned against the batch, which is pressed in the shape of the US President and considered “extremely dangerous”.

PMMA, or para-methoxymethamphetamine, is chemically similar to M**A, but carries a far higher risk of drug toxicity.

Its steep “dose response” curve can mean a come-up lasting hours, making it easy to mistake a delayed effect for a weak pill and take more.

Major music industry gathering AME is landing in Hong Kong this November 🇭🇰🔊

The inaugural Asia Music Event (AME) will bring 1,000+ figures from across electronic music to Soho House, with speakers including Alex Branson, CCO of Beatport; Becky Yeung, VP of Brand and Partnership at Warner Music; Clinton Lau, Head of Music at INS Land and President of The Magic of Tomorrowland; Leo (Leon FR) Arbez, Co-Founder of Magic Room; Jesper Skibsby, Co-Founder of Lisbon Dance Summit; Ayodita Harjadi, Head of Booking at IsMaya / DWP; and Sonia Lau, Business Development Lead at SWIRE Resources.

Running November 26 – 27, expect 30+ sessions, 200+ companies and two days connecting Asia’s electronic music scene with the wider global industry.

A reported leaked build appears to show CircoLoco Records Radio listed among the game’s stations, hinting at how Rockstar’s world keeps folding real music culture into its own.

The move makes sense: Rockstar teamed up with CircoLoco in 2021 to launch CircoLoco Records, linking the Ibiza party brand with the GTA universe long before the new game arrived.

Here’s hoping more platforms open space for grassroots stations, community radio and local scenes, giving smaller music worlds a chance to travel beyond their own cities.

Former South Side Compton Crips leader Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been found guilty of orchestrating the Las Vegas drive-by shooting that killed Tupac in September 1996, when the rapper was just 25.

Prosecutors said Davis did not fire the gun, but ordered the shooting and supplied the weapon.

The case also drew on his own past statements, including a police interview and his 2019 memoir Compton Street Legend.

Davis has said he will appeal the verdict.

“The Observatory deserves a big goodbye.”

After 13 years, three locations and more than 800 artists passing through its booths, The Observatory has announced via social media that it will close its doors at the end of October 2026.

Its current home on Floor 10 of 85 CMT8 has held eight years of sunset-to-sunrise sessions, terrace moments, packed club rooms, along with regulars and new dancers finding their way upstairs.

The team says “there will be plenty more to say” in time, as they prepare to announce the last two months of programming.

Shared by Japanese Jero , this throwback takes us back to Double Six Club in 1987–88, before Seminyak became the Seminyak we know now.

Back then, the area was still much greener, surrounded by jungle, rice fields and the early pulse of Bali’s nightlife.

From techno nights to parties like Bali Mockstars, Double Six became one of Seminyak’s legendary club names before closing in 2011.

A glimpse of late ’80s Bali; lower lights, quieter roads and a dancefloor already finding its rhythm.
