🌙 Ramadan Vocabulary | English Learning with Hi-RIM Academy

Let’s enrich our English while reflecting on the blessed month of Ramadan.

📚 Fasting (Sawm)
Abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset for the sake of Allah.
💫Suhoor
The pre-dawn meal eaten before the fast begins.
🌅🌙 Iftar
The meal with which we break our fast at sunset.
🕌 Taraweeh
Special night prayers performed during the nights of Ramadan.
🤲🏼 Duʿā (Supplication)
A personal prayer or call upon Allah.
✨ Sadaqah (Charity)
Voluntary charity given to help those in need.
May this blessed month increase our knowledge, strengthen our faith, and purify our hearts.

🌙 Sunnahs of Friday | سنن يوم الجمعة
Friday is the best day of the week for us, Muslims. It is a day of blessings, mercy, and acceptance of duʿā.
Follow the beautiful Sunnahs of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
✅ Perform Ghusl (ritual bath)
👕 Wear your best clothes and perfume
📖 Read Surah Al-Kahf
📿 Send abundant prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ
🕌 Go early to the mosque
🎤 Listen carefully to the Khutbah
🤲🏼 Make duʿā and seek the special hour of acceptance
✨ May Allah fill our Friday with light, forgiveness, and barakah.
