FM DX Peloponnisos FM Patra 104.1 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. Reception was splendid as it was achieved by using the telescopic antenna only for the TEF6686. The song being heard in between is ‘Pos Tolmas’ by Nikos Vertis as Radio Dimensione Suono began coming by. It did not reach RDS levels. It has moved to 103.9 MHz nowadays. It is broadcasted from Greece’s Patra FM Transmitter of around 5 kW in power which is approximately 705 kilometres away. 73 😊

FM DX Radio ROKS Kharkiv 89.3 MHz From Malta [Sporadic-E][2024]. It was caught on 23/06/2024 at around 16:50 PM (UTC+2). Great SpE was noticed as number of countries was observed and caught. Shazam indicated that the song is Difference Engine by Fear Factory which mainly plays metal music. It did not reach RDS levels but the TEF6686 performed impressive whilst connected through the 7 Element Yagi Antenna. It is being broadcasted from Ukraine’s Kharkiv FM Transmitter that houses around 5 kW in transmission power which is approximately 2,350 kilometres away towards Kharkiv. 73 😊

AM DX MW 720 KHz BBC Radio 4 London From Oxford. It was caught on New Year’s Day 01/01/2022 at around 02:35 AM (UTC+0). This was during the final days staying in Oxford due to family’s medical reasons. The XHDATA D-808 was placed inside the Conifers Guest House which a lot of hissing scratching noise is heard along the recording. It is broadcasting from the ideal London’s Crystal Palace Transmitter that transmits at around 240 Watts only (0.24 kW) which is approximately 90 kilometres away from London. 73 😊

FM DX Radio Monte Carlo (RMC) Trapani 104.0 MHz From Erice [Local]. It was caught on 24/06/2023 at around 11:00 AM (UTC+2). This was during a weekend getaway trip to Trapani. The place is around the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. In the beginning, the ‘TGCOM24’ ident is heard as Italian advertisements followed. ID is heard by 0:55 which the ‘TGCOM24’ ident is heard again by 1:00. It reached RDS levels by displaying ‘RMC’. It is broadcasting from Sicily’s Erice FM Transmitter that houses around just 16 Watts (0.016 kW) in transmission power which is approximately 7 kilometres away around Trapani. 73 😊

There had been time that this station was inactive. Station does not carry any RDS Data. AM DX SW 17850 KHz Radio France International in French From Malta. The XHDATA D-808 did quite well as the transmission is audible whilst using its own telescopic antenna. As per Short Wave Info, it is still broadcasting daily from 20:00 PM to 21:00 PM (UTC+2). It is broadcasting from France’s Issoudun Transmitter of around 500 kW in power which is approximately 1,600 kilometres away. 73 😊

FM DX Radio Deejay Monte Serpeddi 91.0 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. Weak tropo was observed towards south eastern part of Sardegna. The TEF6686 did quite well with its telescopic antenna despite not reaching RDS levels. At the very end, it began losing more strength. It is broadcasting from Sardegna’s Sinnai FM Transmitter that houses around 50.1 kW in transmission power that is approximately 600 kilometres away towards Sardegna. 73 😊

FM DX VRT Klara Limbourg 89.9 MHz From Malta [Sporadic-E][2024]. An opening towards parts in Belgium and the United Kingdom, with a hint from the Netherlands, Italy and France. Classical music is heard along the recording which it was difficult to reach RDS levels. The TEF6686 was connected with the 7 Element Yagi Antenna. It is being broadcasted from Belgium’s Genk FM Transmitter which at that time it housed 20 kW in transmission power which nowadays it houses around 40 kW that is approximately 1,825 kilometres away towards Limbourg. 73 😊
