Ever seen the world turned into a 3D model?

That’s exactly what we do! Using special scanning technology, we capture real places, props, artefacts and sets as well as people and turn them into incredibly detailed digital versions, called 'twins'.

Our new reel shows how we use LiDAR and photogrammetry (fancy words for super-accurate scanning!) to recreate spaces with amazing detail... great for films, TV, games, and virtual experiences.

"From the studio that watched the first two seasons of Downton Abbey"

A spoof that crosses Downton Abbey with Airplane! and Monty Python, Fackham Hall follows loveable pick-pocket Eric Noone (Radcliffe) as he lands a job at a unique English manor house. He quickly rises through the ranks, and a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport (McKenzie) blossoms. But when an unexpected murder occurs, Eric gets framed - leaving Rose and her family’s future perilously uncertain.

All the VFX by Stargate Studios Malta, with the production benefitting from the Malta Cash Rebate scheme.

The Malta Pavilion at Expo 2025 has been awarded the Bronze Medal – People’s Award in Osaka, Japan! 🥉🇲🇹

We’re proud that Stargate Studios Malta played a part in this international project, commissioned by WeVR. Inside the pavilion, our team created a number of visuals on the internal screen, capturing Malta’s industry, culture, heritage, innovation and environment through cinematography, editing and VFX. Outside, we brought the entrance to life with a site-specific Unreal Engine timelapse on the LED façade, revealing five doorways into Malta throughout the day.

With more than half a million visitors already stepping inside, it’s been an honour to help showcase Malta on the world stage. 🌍

Massive news! We are absolutely chuffed to announce that we're nominated for an Emmy for our work on the mind-bending episode 'USS Callister - Into Infinity' from the latest season of Black Mirror! A huge thank you to our incredible team, ably led by our talented VFX supervisor Jonathan Caruana who brought the visuals to life.

We're also incredibly grateful to the Black Mirror creative team - Charlie Brooker, Josie Henwood and James MacLachlan for trusting us with this project for yet another season!

It's been an absolute privilege to work on it. We're honoured to be recognised for our hard work and dedication. Fingers crossed for the big night!

Stargate Studios Malta continues to push the boundaries of immersive imaging technology by developing a low-cost light-field camera system. As part of the TESP 2025 funding initiative, this innovative project is being strengthened through collaboration with the Faculty of ICT at the University of Malta

A key milestone in this effort is hiring a full-time programmer dedicated to developing the core algorithm for multi-camera calibration—an essential step in ensuring accurate depth capture and image reconstruction. This partnership marks a significant step forward in making advanced light-field imaging more accessible and cost-effective.
