Located on Malta’s western coast, Dingli Cliffs is one of the island’s most dramatic sunset spots. High above the sea, with open views, golden limestone, and quiet coastal roads, this place shows a slower and more peaceful side of Malta.

This is not just a viewpoint.
This is where Malta feels calm, wild, and endless.

✔️ Best time to visit? Sunset, when the cliffs turn golden and the sea looks endless.
✔️ How to get there? Head towards Dingli Cliffs and follow the coastal road. There are several viewpoints along the way.
✔️ What to do? Walk along the cliffs, enjoy the view, take photos, and stay until the light changes.
✔️ Bonus tip: Bring a light jacket. It can get windy near the edge, especially later in the day.

They are definitely worth it 🇲🇹 ⬇️
Some places in Malta are famous for a reason.

Yes, they can be crowded.
Yes, everyone talks about them.
But if you visit them the right way, they still hit different.

📍 Blue Grotto
Go in the morning if you want the water at its best. The boat trip is worth it when the sea is calm, but even the viewpoint alone gives you one of Malta’s most iconic coastal views.

📍 The Three Cities
Birgu, Senglea, and Cospicua are perfect if you want history, quiet streets, harbour views, and a slower side of Malta away from Valletta’s crowds.

📍 Comino
It is touristy, but the water is unreal. Skip peak hours if you can, explore beyond Blue Lagoon, and you’ll understand why people keep coming back.

This is the thing about Malta:
some places are popular because they are overhyped…
but some are popular because they really are that beautiful.

Hidden cave & secret beach in Malta.

Collapsed rock. Wild coast. Clear water below.

📍 Għar Ħanex, Qrendi

Hidden along Malta’s southern coastline between Għar Lapsi and Wied iż-Żurrieq, the Għar Ħanex area is one of those raw coastal places most people never reach. The original cave/window collapsed in 2019, but the coastline around it still feels dramatic, quiet, and completely different from Malta’s usual beach spots.

In front of the Għar Ħanex area, you can find a beautiful rocky bay with clear water, rough limestone, and that secret-beach feeling you only get when a place is not easy to access.

This is not a normal beach.
This is Malta’s wild coast showing its real shape.

✔️ Best time to visit? Midday for the clearest blue water, or early morning if you want it quieter.
✔️ How to get there? Head toward the Ħaġar Qim / Mnajdra area in Qrendi and continue carefully toward the coastline. The final access is not a simple tourist path.
✔️ What to do? Explore the coastal views, enjoy the hidden rocky bay, and take in the raw limestone landscape.
✔️ Bonus tip: Wear proper shoes and don’t go alone. The area is rugged, exposed, and can be unsafe in strong wind or rough sea conditions.

This is one of those places that feels hidden because it is not made for everyone.

Gozo cracked open and hid the sea inside. 🇲🇹

A narrow valley.
A tiny cove.
And water so blue it looks unreal.

📍 Wied il-Għasri, Gozo

This is one of the most unique swimming spots in Gozo. The sea cuts deep into the land through a narrow limestone valley, creating a hidden cove that feels completely different from a normal beach.

From the drone, it looks like a secret blue corridor carved into the island.

This is not just a place to swim.
This is one of those spots that makes Gozo feel wild, quiet, and almost untouched.

Go on a calm day, take the stairs down carefully, and bring everything you need — there are no facilities at the bottom.
