♜How can I get my child to represent England in the national and international chess championships? ♜
As a Master Chess Coach, this is the biggest question I hear from most parents who want their children to play chess.
It’s an impressive and worthy goal.
But why do most parents want their children to represent England in a chess tournament or even play chess in the first place?
Chess has been scientifically proven to help develop the mental abilities of children.
It’s also a sport that requires a lot of mental focused activity and only the most intelligent children are able to be champions in this sport.
As for representing your country, it’s a goal worth striving for because you know that if your child can achieve this, it places him or her in the top 1% of chess players and prepares them to become Chess Masters.
It’s also a stepping stone to greater achievements in the chess world.
But even if this is not your goal or your child's goal there are still a lot of reasons why your child may want to play chess to a good level.
I remember when I became enthused with chess as a kid.
I was in a homeless shelter, aged 14 and in financial poverty. I never knew where my next meal would come from and many more social disadvantages that come with being homeless.
Prospects in life didn’t look too good for me.
That was when I found my chess passion, It became a solace for me and a place for me to escape from reality. It literally gave me back my life and a great interest in learning.
Eventually, through dedication and practice, I became one of the best speed chess players in England. And one of the most successful chess coaches/trainers/ course creators that England has ever seen.
There are so many reasons why kids should play chess;
♞ It helps them to cultivate discipline.
♞ It helps kids to focus better.
♞ It teaches kids that their actions have consequences
♞ It improves academic performance.
♞ It teaches them how to manage their emotions
These are some of the reasons why parents want their kids to learn chess, but somehow, when they want to teach their kids chess, they go about it the wrong way.
That’s why I created a FREE PARENTS GUIDANCE PRESENTATION that shows PARENTS everything they need to know about teaching chess to their child. Guidance is from a proven expert.
It’ll take your child from being a beginner or advanced player in chess to giving them the best possible opportunity of being able to represent England or whichever nation that they choose to represent.
