Out of over 1,000 applicants from around the world, Beppe Caruana, Eva Tonna, and Luke Pavia have proudly secured their place in the semifinals of the prestigious Zecchino d’Oro festival.

This remarkable achievement comes following auditions held in Scicli, Sicily, through a collaboration between PBS, Arts Council Malta, and Ragusa Xpress.

Malta now holds three spots in one of the most beloved children’s music festivals in Europe.

10 Maltese Children Shine in Scicli at Zecchino d’Oro Auditions

Today, 10 talented Maltese children took to the stage in Scicli, Sicily, during the official auditions for the internationally renowned Zecchino d'Oro festival.

The feedback from the organisers and jury was overwhelmingly positive — they praised the talent, preparation, and spirit of all the Maltese participants.

We now eagerly await the final results, hopeful that Malta will be proudly represented in this year’s edition.

Today, PBS had the honour of hosting and producing the Malta Trust Foundation Telethon, broadcast live from our studios at Television House, G’Mangia.

We are proud to share that a final sum of €1,509,312 was raised in support of the Foundation’s impactful work.
