It is difficult to find the right words today.
Ryan Spiteri's journey in radio began at Radio Kottoner, alongside his uncle. At Capital Radio, managed and later owned by Mediacoop, he was given his first national platform.
Ryan spent ten years at Capital Radio, and we were genuinely happy to watch him grow. We saw his talent develop, his confidence increase and his name become recognised across Malta as one of the country’s leading DJs.
We remember the early days of what would eventually become the much-loved 'Rewind' brand. We also shared many memorable moments while working on Candid, a programme aired on TVM.
Ryan brought music, energy and humour wherever he went. He could make us laugh, and occasionally land himself, and perhaps some of us, in a little trouble too.
Today, those memories hurt. We are deeply saddened by his passing, but grateful that we were able to share part of his journey and proud to have seen the person and artist he became.
