We're Hiring an Accountant & Payroll Officer 💼
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional ready to make an impact? We're looking for a dedicated Accountant & Payroll Officer to join our fast-growing media company in Cascavelle, Mauritius!
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity.
About the Role:
You'll be the backbone of our financial operations, managing everything from monthly payroll processing and tax filings to bookkeeping and coordinating with our external compliance advisors.
This is a fantastic chance to take ownership of your work and contribute directly to the financial health of a dynamic business.
What You'll Do:
* Process monthly payroll and all statutory deductions (PAYE, CSG, NPS/NSF).
* Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, including bank reconciliations and ledger management.
* Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, cash flow).
* Handle monthly APS returns and other statutory contributions to MRA.
* Assist with annual tax computations and liaise with our management company for compliance.
What We're Looking For:
* A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
* 2+ years of experience in payroll, bookkeeping, and tax filing.
* Familiarity with Mauritian tax laws and the MRA portal.
* Proficiency in Xero accounting software is a must!
* High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
* ACCA part-qualified or equivalent is a plus!
