Dodo FX Launches Flexible Sound Effects Library for Radio Imaging Professionals

Dodo FX introduces the Dodo FX Sound Effects Library: a new, flexible way for radio imaging professionals to discover, audition, and use exactly the sound effects they need. With this launch, the Belgian producer responds to the realities of modern radio production, where speed, tight deadlines, and customization are essential.

For years, Dodo FX has supplied sound effects to a wide range of radio stations at home and abroad. While the company previously focused on carefully curated sound packs, it is now shifting toward maximum flexibility. In the new Library, users can preview every individual sound effect and select exactly which FX to add to their personal Dodo Download Deck. This eliminates the one-size-fits-all approach and gives creators full control over their creative process.

In addition to the existing sound packs, Dodo FX introduces a transparent credit-based system:

1 credit equals 1 sound effect file

Credits never expire

Credits can be purchased at any time and freely combined

The Library also features exclusive online-only sound effects and is expanded monthly with new releases. This makes it possible to choose exactly the right impact, riser, or breaker a production needs — no more and no less.

World’s First UCS-Compatible Radio Imaging Library

With the Dodo FX Library, the company also takes an important technical step forward. Dodo FX is the world’s first radio imaging sound effects library to be fully compatible with the Universal Category System (UCS), the international standard for classifying and organizing sound effects. Thanks to consistent file naming, clear categories, extensive tagging, and embedded metadata, users can find the right sound faster and seamlessly integrate the Library into professional audio workflows and DAWs.

Although the Library is primarily developed for radio imaging professionals, the UCS-based classification and neutral, high-quality sound design also make the sound effects suitable for use in television, podcasts, streaming platforms, games, and other digital and broadcast media.
