Chaque année, l’Association réunionnaise 1000sourires organise l'opération de Solidarité « Un incroyable Noël » pour offrir à deux enfants issus de milieux très modestes une expérience qu’ils n’auraient autrement jamais eu l’occasion de vivre.

Cette année, IBL a eu l’honneur d’être le parrain de cette édition, en accueillant Maïza et Darel à Maurice, et en leur offrant une parenthèse faite de découvertes et de souvenirs précieux.

Parmi les moments forts de leur séjour, ils ont également partagé une après-midi spéciale Noël à IBL avec deux enfants de Bois Marchand, accompagnés par notre Fondation Joseph Lagesse — un moment de rencontres et de partages qui incarne pleinement l’esprit de Noël.

Cette aventure a été partagée avec le grand public lors de la diffusion de l’émission télévisée en Prime Time, le soir de Noël, le jeudi 25 décembre sur Réunion la 1ère .

Les Cuisines Solidaires and LUX* Grand Baie are featured in Guardians of the Indian Ocean, the first-ever LUX* documentary created by Mauritian filmmaker Asha Sumputh in collaboration with The Lux Collective.

In the film, the LCS team spends a day cooking with Senior Sous Chef Nunkoo – learning new techniques, discovering new ingredients, and turning surplus food into nutritious local meals. The aim is simple: help LCS boost its production so they can support even more people in need.

From Mauritius to Zanzibar, the documentary reminds us that when women are given opportunities, tools, and trust, the ripple effects reach families, communities, and entire regions.
