Vatican Mobile Signal To Shutdown Ahead of New Pope Election

The Vatican will turn off all phone signals on Wednesday at 3 p.m. (local time) before a secret meeting to choose the next pope.

133 cardinals will enter the Sistine Chapel and give up their phones and all devices. They will be completely cut off from the outside world and must keep everything secret.

Special blockers will stop phone calls, texts, or internet use. St. Peter’s Square will stay open, but security will be very strict with checks, metal detectors, and protection from drones.

Even workers like electricians and cleaners will stay inside the Vatican during the meeting and promise to keep everything private.

Uganda's President, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has given approval of the Anti-homos*xuality Bill 2023, which was recently tabled by the Ugandan Parliament.

Among other possible punishments, the act includes a death sentence and life imprisonment to those found guilt of homos*xuality.

In a report released by the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, the Ugandan National Assembly has commended the president for his steadfast action in defending culture, values and interest of the Ugandan people.

This comes when there are protests across Malawi against legalisation of same s*x marriages.

Scorchers Captain, Tabitha Chawinga is the first ever African player to win the Italian Sirie A Women's League Golden boot.

Chawinga has won the top goal scorer award with 23 goals, 8 goals above the second placed Cristiana Gireli of Juventus women.

The former DD-Sunshine Striker is on a one-year loan contract with Inter Milan from Chinese Superleague champions Wuhan Jiangda.

Chawinga also won Golden boot awards in Sweden and China on her debut seasons.

Join in celebrating the life of the first president of Malawi, Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.

Dr. Banda Banda became a prime minister of this country in 1994 after a long struggle for independence against the colonial administration.

In 1966, Malawi became a republic and Dr. Banda became the first president.

In 1994, Ngwazi Kamuzu Banda lost to Dr. Bakili Muluzi in the first ever Multiparty Election.

Ngwazi died in 1997 at the age of 95. He is renowned for several developments around the country. Ngwazi built several universities, secondary and primary schools, and roads which are still standing today.
