16 DAY ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER BASED VIOLENCE
Just as style meets leadership, disability month meets 16 days of activism against gender based violence.
The 16 days of activism gives us a chance to make it right by acting on violence against men women children and persons with disabilities.
As a country we have in our DNA love ,warmth and support for those in need and these should not be overshadowed with perpetration of violence against women and children or persons with disabilities.
Our laws and policies are clear, progressive and strong that there is no place violence to hide in our mother Malawi.
The democratic progressive party (DPP) government with professor Peter Mutharika and minister of Gender children disability and social welfare Hon.Mary Thom Navitcha are committed with an open door policy to deal with perpetrators of gender based violence and raise the flag of love , compassion and humility towards one another.
