Known As The G8, The Actors Were Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Richard Mofe Damijo, Genevieve Nnaji, Emeka Ike, Ramsey Nouah, Nkem Owoh, Stella Damasus and Jim Iyke.
The Movie Marketers Warned All Filmmakers That Anybody Who Featured Any Of The Actors In A Movie That They Wont Market The Movie Meaning Loss of Funds For The Filmmaker.
The Ban Shook The Industry And Caused Some Serious Controversy. A Lot of Fans Got Angry but It Also Gave Opportuinity for New Stars.
The Marketers Hoped The Ban Will Force The G8 Actors To Reduce Their Fees But The Actors Stood Their Ground. The G8 Insisted Actors Were Paid Peanuts.
Following the ban, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Jim Iyke went into music.
But The Ban Did not Last As Fans Revolted, Movies Sales Dropped And The Marketers Had To Recall The G8 Back To The Screen.
