Coordination is key to effective preparedness and rapid response to emergencies.

NGO HUMANITARIAN COMMITTEE DATES DoDMA

Today, 16th October, 2025 we held a meeting with a consortium of local and international non-governmental organisations under the banner NGO Humanitarian Committee.

During the meeting, which centred on areas of improvement to enhance coordination in humanitarian action, the committee reaffirmed its commitment to supporting DoDMA in directing and implementing various disaster risk management (DRM) programmes including early warning, preparedness, anticipatory, response and resilience.

As a department, we are indebted to the gesture and we are looking forward to coordinated efforts in building resilience of communities and the nation as a whole.
