My Motherland
Deep down my heart
Runs a sad feeling
Like I'm living in a strange country
No where to get a relief
There are so many mountains
To climb in my Motherland
A land locked country
Full of dramatic issues
From morning till sunset
Yet we were told to change mindset
It is in my Motherland
Where freedom of speech is exploited
Oppressing the media houses
Practitioners exalting blue camp
So that, citizen may not have access to information with current regime
But what goes around,comes around
Our grievances will heard on ballot paper
Come the next general election
Never to live under the atmosphere of fear
Some day,all the struggles, will be gone
Never again these Egyptians
Never again the high cost of living
High levels of unemployment,
Retrenchment in public sector
Due to tribalism and nepotism
Even just because of political differences
There shall be real promised land
Tizaimba nyimbo tagonjesa bwanji?
Just believe in ourselves
One day in my Motherland
Justice will prevail
After the rotten judiciary gone
Where you can not seek justice
If you are poor
Nthawi mkachisiludi zoona
How I wish ,if I were a judge
I would have reviewed the case of John Mussah
Our own innocent boy from kachere township
Sentenced to 8 years imprisonment
Free Mussah please !!
Don't entertain foreign individuals
There are human rights activists
In my Motherland
Amassing wealth at the expenses of the poor
Into their dry pockets
Through mobilising mass demonstration
In the name of a Malawi akuti !!!!
Whose real beneficiaries are those in power as well as fake activists
Whoever else outwitted Malawians
Ambuye akuoneni I swear
Every one is crying
The pain is too much
We can't tolerate nonsense
It is only in my Motherland
Getting a better job is burden
You need to have connections
Failing which,you will die unemployed
Lucky are those beautiful girls
Certificate,diplomas,degrees aside
But their forbidden fruit
Is likely more important than having a paper
And age is just a number
