As Malawians smell lockdown , its sending chills down spines of many just like the smell of penicillin does to kids on the backs of their mums as they approach hospital.
Corona kills that can be testified even by doubting Thomases, by the way disease are meant to kill , aren't they?
Is corona as fearsome as politicians and influential international institutions make believe?
Corona as of now is millions of miles away from Spanish flu which remains the undisputed champ, it killed between 17 to 100 million people from 1918 to 1920 as opposed to corona which has killed just over 137 thousand out of 2.6 plus cases as of 16 April, over 500 thousand have recovered, you read right.corona is not as deadly as a nuclear bomb dropping straight on your head, chances of recovering from corona are higher than you going 6 feet under, so for whatever reasons there's misinformation about corona or can we say it's over hyped?
When coronas mandate to toment us expires many of us would be still alive,but bruised severely by the effects, unfortunately some of the effects are man made being tossed around as solutions. The so called lockdown will do more harm than good in most African countries, while corona has already ravaged the world at rage and Africa in particular, the famous or the infamous lockdowns will only pile our miseries a billion fold.
We won't all die of corona that's a fact, but all of us will have either our jobs dead or our finances dead. Thousands and thousands of
Jobs have been lost , lockdown will only make more and more people lose jobs. Corona won't kill many of us but the lockdown will kill faith and spirituality of many.
While you and me are pushed in door, we will.be deprived of our lively hoods, those who effect and enforce the lock downs will still be making money, their fridges and pantries are stocked to the brim, while you and me don't even know where our next mael will come from .LORD OF MERCY !
