CTS Group of Companies has today officially opened CTS Auto Parts in Lilongwe, with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (SMEDI) Executive Director Kondwani Kachamba gracing the occasion as guest of honour.

Speaking during the launch, Kachamba described the development as a positive signal of economic recovery, especially following years of foreign exchange challenges that affected many businesses in Malawi.

He said despite the tough economic environment, the opening of a spare parts business which largely depends on imports demonstrates renewed confidence and resilience among local entrepreneurs.

Kachamba further commended the company’s founder Jacqueline Bokosi for perseverance, noting that the business started as a courier service and faced multiple setbacks, including fraud and counterfeit activities on social media, but has now grown into a group of companies.

Meanwhile, CTS Group of Companies General Manager Joseph Manda said the newly opened CTS Auto Parts aims to provide reliable, affordable and accessible vehicle spare parts and services to Malawians.

Manda explained that the company has partnered with professional mechanics and dealers to ensure quality service delivery, adding that the initiative is designed to ease the cost burden of vehicle maintenance for customers.

He said the Lilongwe outlet is just the beginning, with plans underway to expand operations to Mzuzu, Blantyre and Zomba in the near future.
