I often hear statements about Malawi. It being the poorest country in the world. I hear people complain about this and that and most of the times these complaints are justified. There are a lot of things not going on well in Malawi and there is room for improvement. I am also aware that there are a lot of other things going right and there are several initiatives aimed at improving situations. These initiatives are made by government of Malawi, private sector, non governmental organisations, religious groupings and in other cases individuals. Often those behind these initiatives and success stories are unsung heroes and remain anonymous. Join me as I try to tell the success and not successful stories of Malawi no matter how painful they may be.

Bertha Banda got married on 6th May 2017. A week before her wedding, her friends treated her to a dinner. It was an all ladies night, an affectionate send-off from some of the many friends she has. Our cameras were there and captured the events of this evening and we hereby share a some of the moments.
