Why we started Tical Apartments — and why it might be exactly what your next trip needs.

A hotel room is fine. It does the job. But it was never really home — and that's exactly the gap we set out to fill.

Tical Apartments started with a simple idea: what if visiting Lilongwe felt less like "staying somewhere" and more like having a place of your own? No stiff lobbies. No rushing to finish your coffee before check-out. No wondering if there's anywhere to properly cook a meal after a long day.
So that's what we built.

Our apartments in Area 43 and house Area 49 are fully equipped — real kitchens, comfortable living spaces, fast WiFi for the days you need to work, and self check-in for the nights your flight lands late and you just want to walk in and collapse into a proper bed. Whether you're here for business, a family visit, a wedding, or simply need a reset, the space adjusts to you — not the other way around.

We personally prepare every stay. Fresh linens, a stocked kitchen, small details most guests never notice because we made sure they never had to think about them. That care is the difference between a place you sleep in, and a place you actually enjoy staying.

I didn't expect a place to make me feel at home... but Tical Apartments did.

The first thing I did after checking in wasn't unpack my bags.
It was make myself a cup of tea.

Standing in this beautiful kitchen, waiting for the kettle to boil, I realised something—I wasn't just staying somewhere. I was living comfortably.

For dinner, i cooked my favourite meals in the fully equipped kitchen instead of eating out every day.

The fast Wi-Fi made it easy to work and stay connected with family. Even when the power went out in the area, I barely noticed because there was power backup. And with water backup too, my day continued without interruption.

At night, I slept peacefully in a cool, air-conditioned bedroom with a comfortable bed that made me feel completely rested. The quiet, secure environment gave me the peace I didn't know I needed.

By the time it was time to leave, Tical Apartments didn't feel like accommodation anymore.
It felt like home.

If you're looking for a place in Lilongwe where you can relax, work, cook, unwind, and enjoy every moment of your stay, I honestly couldn't recommend a better place.
