One of my friends at Geisha “Zuza” found me at our shabeen last Friday and told me that he had caught my interview on “Youth on The Move program” by VOL radio. Of course I smiled from ear to ear. He said I spoke like a Minster Lol. (Amen to that - I receive 😌🙏🏼).
The conversation on the program was about my filmmaking journey, content creation and staying on top of trends. We talked about the Focus on Ability awards my documentaries received which was a huge motivation for me knowing that someone recognized the art and work we invested in the making of the documentaries.
We discussed the "Malawi and People" doc series too (which was co-developed with Alfred Wk Zgambo), how it connected us with cool people and organizations including Mzuzu E-Hub, This lowkey made me reflect back on the struggles of amateur filmmaking on a minimal budget. It was fun!.
