Nutricom Food Beverages Limited Company has donated K400,000 to Zomba Press Club (ZPC) towards it's elective Annual General Meeting.

The AGM to be finalised on Saturday is currently underway in Salima.

One of the officials from the company, Dyna Kamfosi said the donation was part of empowering the media on its duty of informing the citizenry.

ZPC president Titus Linzie applauded the company for the gesture which he described as timely.

Later on, ZPC members cheered the sick and donated assorted items at Salima District Hospital.

Petroleum Importers Limited’s (PIL) general manager, Martin Msimuko, says the media should report on the dangers of improper handling of fuel products.

According to Msimuko, fuel products must be handled in a special way to avoid the unfortunate events that have been taking place in the country where people have lost lives from fuel-induced fires.

Msimuko made the remarks when PIL donated K500,000 to Zomba Press Club (ZPC) towards its 2023 elective annual general meeting in Salima.

ZPC president Titus Linzie committed that the club will invest in reporting on proper fuel usage and storage.

Zomba Press Club (ZPC) is pleased for the timely assistance from Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) who presented us with a K500,000 dummy cheque.

The money is meant to support on our elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for December 9, in Salima.

The colourful cheque presentation took place on Wednesday at PIL offices in Blantyre.
