🇭🇰 Hong Kong: Day 3
Morning:
📍 Café de Coral (Breakfast)
- A fast, efficient, and essential Hong Kong institution for a classic, budget-friendly local breakfast.
- Try the local-style breakfast sets, like macaroni soup with ham, turnip cakes, or classic thick toast with a hot milk tea (personally love the milktea and luncheon meat! ❤️🤤)
Afternoon:
📍 Yat Lok (⭐ 1-Michelin Star)
- A legendary, no-frills roast meat spot in Central.
- Absolutely did not disappoint! It has maintained its consistent Michelin-star status for over 10 consecutive years.
- They are globally renowned for their signature crispy roast goose. The crackling skin and juicy meat live up to the hype!
📍 Lan Fong Yuen
- A legendary *cha chaan teng* (Hong Kong-style cafe) dating back to 1952.
- World-famous for inventing the "stocking" milk tea (filtered through a sack resembling a silk stocking for ultimate smoothness). A true HK classic that you can't miss.
📍 Golden Bauhinia Square (Bauhinia Flower)
- Located on the Central/Wan Chai waterfront, this giant golden statue represents the Bauhinia blakeana, the floral emblem of Hong Kong.
- A great, quick photo-op right by the harbor.
📍 Victoria Peak via The Peak Tram 🚃
- A mandatory must-do in Hong Kong! The historic Peak Tram ride itself offers a fun, steep climb up the mountain with tilting views of the skyscrapers.
- There is a massive shopping mall complex right at the top (Peak Tower and Peak Galleria), which is a surprising contrast to the nature trails!
- This is where Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is located.
- The paid Sky Terrace 428 (the 360-degree rooftop view) is optional but absolutely worth the extra ticket for the panoramic skyline shots.
🌙 Evening:
📍 Temple Street Night Market (Kowloon side)
- Head across the harbor to Jordan/Yau Ma Tei for an iconic atmospheric evening. The overhead lantern lights are incredibly pretty and full of retro HK energy.
- Another absolute must-visit. It’s the ultimate spot to try famous local street foods (like claypot rice, deep-fried pigeon, or spicy crab). Plus, the souvenirs here are noticeably cheaper than most other tourist areas.
-If you are following this exact order, you'll spend the morning and afternoon on Hong Kong Island (Central & The Peak), and then take the iconic Star Ferry or MTR across the harbor to Kowloon for the Temple Street Night Market in the evening!
