It gets better as a new mom ♥️ ✨
Perspective is truly a beautiful thing.
Sometimes you can be in the middle of what feels like the hardest chapter of your life, wondering how the hell am I going to get through this? Only to look back years later and realise that chapter completely changed the trajectory of your life.
I was so afraid of motherhood. Afraid I wouldn’t be a good enough mum. Afraid I wouldn’t be able to give my child the life I never had. Afraid I’d somehow repeat the parts of my childhood I spent so desperately working hard trying to escape.
Life will, and should change you. It will force you to grow, hold up a mirror to your deepest insecurities and make you finally deal with the things you’ve been avoiding. I’ve learnt that sometimes, the thing you thought would break you is the thing that builds you.
