I can’t help but feel nostalgia wash over me when the photo app on my phone shows me those images labeled “2 years ago.” It’s strange how a simple notification can revive a memory that has been sitting there, frozen in time—a small threshold through which a moment I thought was asleep quietly slips back in.

And then I find myself wondering which would be the perfect instant to return to, if traveling to the past were truly possible… which moment I would choose, even if only for a single second.

Just with a photo I took in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico.

No puedo evitar que la nostalgia me alcance cuando la aplicación de fotos en mi celular me muestra esas imágenes etiquetadas como “hace 2 años”. Es curioso cómo una simple notificación puede revivir un recuerdo que está ahí estático en el tiempo, un pequeño umbral por donde se escapa un recuerdo que creía dormido.

Y entonces me descubro pensando cuál sería el instante perfecto para volver, si de verdad pudiéramos viajar al pasado… cuál sería ese momento que elegiría aunque fuera solo por un segundo.
