Casa Soleada is offered for rental from May to October.
This home is architect designed and owned. It is the opinion of this architect ( the owner ) that there is not a finer home on the coast of Yucatan. The home is powered by its own solar panel system and provided with desalinated water (that is fully potable ). It has a 15 x 5 meter lap pool in a well groomed and delightful natural landscaped area bounded by native rock walls. Additionally, there is an incredibly "cool" pizza oven and BBQ adjoining a lovely patio with immediate view and physical access to both the ocean and pool areas. Full sixty meter beachfront lot, it is actually eighty meters to nearest neighbours, across fifty meters of undeveloped treed land to both the east and west.
The home has four distinct living areas. A combined living/dining kitchen area arrayed along a continuous window wall facing north to the beach. The entire room is under a magnificent palapa roof & kitchen fully equipped for your enjoyment. Laundry facility on site or if you prefer, laundry service available in Dzidzantun, about 10 km away - she does a fantastic job!
There are two matching bedroom/bathroom suites with queen size beds, side tables, built-in closets and shelving, all under another beautiful palapa, each with patio doors to a private deck and infinite views up the coast. The bathrooms have gorgeous barrel vaulted ceilings with ocean views from your shower.
There is a study/media room/bedroom with a very comfortable queen size futon. The is a big screen TV which could also be located in the living room if desired, unlimited use of Wifi at no additional cost & Netflix included.
The bedrooms and study each have air-conditioning while living areas are naturally ventilated by the ocean breezes that pass through the palapa roof.
Casa Soleada is legally within the bounds of Santa Clara, a very small fishing village in the state of Yucatan. Santa Clara has three restaurants, all good but one of which is exceptional and receives patronage on weekends from residents of Merida about 100 K to the west. There are two beers stores and a local style tienda.
Six miles directly south, by paved road, is Dzidzantun, an incredibly charming, clean and vibrant rural town of eight thousand friendly and helpful merchants and service providers
It is heaven.
