Some heroes don't wear capes...
When we first planned to donate these books to Mexico, we quickly discovered that shipping and import costs were so high that sending them directly just wasn't feasible. It was disappointing, but we refused to let that be the end of the story.
Instead, we decided to split the donation. Some of the books would stay in the UK to support local families, and the rest...well, they were about to travel 5,600 miles.
The amazing Sadie generously gave up precious suitcase space to hand-carry them all the way to Guadalajara, Mexico. ❤️✈️📚
Thanks to her generosity:
✨ Around 38 books have been donated to the Biblioteca Pública del Estado de Jalisco.
✨ Around 10 books have already been given directly to children and families at the hospital where she works.
None of this would have been possible without you, Sadie. Thank you for believing in these books enough to make room in your luggage and help them find new homes halfway across the world. 💝
