Hunger Stone : The recent droughts in Europe once again made visible the "Hunger Stones" in some Czech and German rivers. These stones were used to mark desperately low river levels that would forecast famines.
This one, in the Elbe river, is from 1616 and says: "If you see me, cry"

Este es el sexto mandamiento de los Árboles según Francis Hallé, un reconocido botánico y especialista en árboles.
Nos muestra la realidad y la mentira a la que justificamos o tratamos de enmendar un gran daño. Ni 10 ni 20 árboles pequeños sustituyen todos los servicios que provee un gran árbol, antes de pensar en reforestar y arborizar nuestras ciudades, cuidar de los árboles existentes debe ser una prioridad.
