Flancoplasty, also known as truncusplasty, is a plastic surgery performed to remove excess skin and fat from the flanks and lumbosacral region, improving body contour and sometimes lifting the buttocks.
This technique has become very popular as it has become a solution for dog ears, which are a regular complication of a poorly implemented abdominoplasty or tummy tuck, either by the patient who did not want a longer cut due to a lack of expertise on the part of her surgeon. This technique achieves a smaller waist and a flatter abdomen if it is complemented with 360 liposuction.
Goal: To remove excess fat and skin from the top of the hips and flanks.
Benefits:
Improves the contour of the hips and buttocks.
Can result in a buttock lift and small waist
Procedure: An incision is made in the affected area, excess fat and skin are removed, and the incision is closed.
Combination: Often combined with other surgeries to improve body contour.
Alternatives: Can be combined with liposuction or a buttock lift.
RESULTS :
These photos are from a patient with a one-year evolution who underwent a francoplasty together with a high definition liposculpture with fat transfer to the buttocks and hip, resulting in the harmonization of her body with an hourglass shape.
