Shootings continue in Mazatlán Centro despite massive Marina & National Guard deployment

Another shooting hit the heart of Mazatlán this afternoon. A 52-year-old man known as “El Monstruo” was shot near Parque Martiniano Carvajal, just one day after two men were killed at Teniente Azueta and Constitución.

This comes on top of three robberies in one day, armed vehicle hijacking attempts, and an attack inside a gated community — all while thousands of Marina and National Guard troops are deployed under Operativo Verano Seguro.

July closed with 36 homicides in Mazatlán, the highest month of the year.
With so many federal forces on the ground… why is this still happening?

This morning in Colonia Sánchez Celis, Mazatlán (Av. Sinaloa), armed subjects tried to carjack an Uber with a passenger on board. Shots were fired — one hit the windshield of the white Kia Río. Driver and passenger unharmed but suffered a severe panic attack and were treated on scene by paramedics.

Uber — any public statement or safety update for partners in Mazatlán?

He Sped Up on a Flat Tire at 80 km/h… This Is What Happened 😱

This driver had a flat tire… and instead of pulling over, he accelerated.

🚨 Massive Police Presence in Mazatlán Tonight 🚨

Dozens upon dozens of patrol units have flooded the streets near Atlántico, 82129 Mazatlán. A section of the road was suddenly blocked off, and as we tried to leave, more and more police vehicles kept arriving—sirens echoing across the neighborhood. The National Guard was briefly spotted, but the overwhelming majority were Mazatlán municipal police. The atmosphere is tense, with convoys rolling in one after another, surrounding the area.
