Building our shower!
We built our shower in 2023 in December while we spent some time at our place in Mexico. The main posts give a surface for the walls and plants to grow around it. Later on a roof was built around it.
The base is concrete with stones that were left from the construction before. Theresa separated them in different colours to make a circle of different colour shades. After the shower was built Arturo started the first part of the garden around it.
You can see how the water is flowing through a bed of stones into the garden. This helps to clean up the water. It's important to use natural soaps to keep the ecosystem healthy.
The video shows how the shower looked in the rain season when everything can grow.
Our plan was to get a plant shower and it worked out pretty well.
We can harvest some Maracuja and just eat it in the shower :-)
