New Coffee Shop in Bogotá 🇨🇴

Located in Chapinero Alto, TINTO is an experimental specialty coffee shop built around carefully selected coffees, thoughtful preparation, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The menu features filter coffees with distinct origins and flavor profiles, alongside espresso-based drinks, matcha, chai, chocolate, and infusions. A curated selection of pastries and desserts completes the experience, designed to complement and highlight the character of each cup.

With its compact layout, retro-inspired aesthetic, and coffee-first approach, TINTO brings a fresh perspective to Bogotá’s specialty coffee scene.

Some openings are just confirmations. Es Bien Café is not a new project. It is a mature one, and this last chapter might be their best.
What started years ago as a brunch spot in La Sagrera has gone through its own journey: a takeaway on Gran Via, a move to Poblenou, a closure, until finding its final and definitive form right back on Gran Via, in the Glòries area. The kind of evolution that only makes sense looking backwards.
Mar and Facundo have built something that feels settled and confident. A classic aesthetic that doesn’t try to follow trends, paired with specialty coffee treated with real seriousness: five espresso options, filter methods, a selection that rewards people who know what they are looking for without alienating those who don’t.
The food carries a home quality that is hard to fake, because it is real. Cooked by one of the founder’s mothers. The kind of detail that changes how everything tastes.
And the space works for everyone. Grab a quick coffee at the bar, sit outside with a glass of wine, stay for brunch. The terrace tables on Gran Via pull you in before you even decide to stop.
The first weeks already speak for themselves. Es Bien is not just back, it arrived.

Some openings are just openings. This one felt like it was a long time coming. Alen and Natalia spent quite some years looking for the right spot, the right conditions, the right moment. When you walk into ATAU on Enric Granados you understand immediately why they waited. A corner in the heart of Eixample that feels like it was always theirs.

The name says a lot. ATAU comes from Quechua: rooted in Atahuallpa, where allpa means earth. Fortune, victory, strength. A name chosen with intention, not decoration.

Two floors and a terrace, decorated to the kind of detail that only happens when someone actually cares, art on the walls and on the roof curated by Natalia, a space that feels sophisticated without trying to intimidate you. The kind of place where you want to stay longer than you planned, which is exactly the point.

By morning and daytime it runs as a proper café, working with Harmony Coffee, one of the most meticulous and greatest roasters in Spain right now. As the light starts to fade, the mood shifts naturally into a natural wine bar. Same space, different energy, no interruption. The transition feels completely organic.

And the food — do not skip the corn dish. You will be thinking about it on the way home.
Alen on operations, Natalia on art direction and soul. A project built with patience and a lot of love. Barcelona needed this one.

Colonia Doctores is not the obvious neighborhood for a specialty coffee stop. That is exactly why Molona works.

Every corner of the space reflects the personality of the people behind it — vintage toys, plants, collector figures, photographs and prints, all of it taken from their personal collections. Colorful, local, a little chaotic in the best way. You feel immediately that this place was built by people who actually live here and care about what they put on the walls as much as what they put in the cup.

And yes — the rubber ducks. Everywhere. A detail so specific it becomes a signature.

The coffee program is serious — V60, Aeropress, Chemex, Kalita, French press — alongside a well built espresso menu. The quality of what comes out of the bar does not ask you to compromise anything for the charm of the space. Both are there at the same time, which is rarer than it sounds.

The team — Lupita and Dany in the kitchen, Karen and Beto on operations, Phanie on the bar — all connected to art, design and photography. It shows in every detail. [Mapa Sonoro](https://www.local.mx/restaurantes/cafe/molona-cafe-buena-vibra-doctores/)

A very Chilango place in the best sense. Don’t miss it.

Coyoacan already have some of the best cafes in Mexico City. But Bolido, on Xicotencat street, still manage to stand out.

The building itself catches your attention first — modern architecture that fits perfectly with the colonial neighborhood around it. Four green doors on the ground floor, three different cafes inside. Bolido is the last one on the right. Small, open bar concept, designed for people to actually talk to each other and to the person making the coffee.

Behind the bar, a single group Kees van der Westen espresso machine paired with a Weber Workshops grinder. A setup that costs more than most cafes spend on their entire build-out. In a space this small, that kind of investment in the cup is a statement.

In the display case, artisan bread from Gala, the bakery of chef Eduardo Garcia — it sits there looking at you while you wait for your order. Coffee and proper baked goods in the same place, done well. Not always easy to find.

We ended up doing something like a four course menu without planning it — double espresso first, then a flat white, a latte, and we closed with a filter. Each one executed cleanly. The kind of session that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.

If you are in Coyoacan, this one is not optional.

Dwell Coffee House is one of those places that came before the scene existed — and helped build it.
A couple’s project. Two humble people with a clear vision of what specialty coffee should be in Plovdiv, and they just went and did it, step by step, without making noise about it. The kind of owners you want to see succeed.
The space is cosy but has its own personality — colorful, a bit playful, with a logo that says a lot about who they are before you even taste the coffee. Tucked off a side street near the Roman Stadium, easy to miss if you don’t know where to look, but once you find it you understand why people keep coming back.
When we visited, the one behind the bar was the owner himself. He walked us through the options, we went for a filter coffee and a double espresso — both very well executed. That kind of direct connection between who builds the place and who serves you, it makes a difference. You feel it in the cup.
They roast their own beans and the offer goes from espresso to V60 and some signature drinks worth trying. You can also take beans home, which I always think is a good sign for a roastery.
If you are going to Plovdiv, this one is not optional. Is a must.

Bude Cafe just opened its doors in the heart of Badalona, and it already feels like it was always meant to be there.

Behind the counter: Max and Clara — a German and a Catalan, two coffee lovers who’ve been dreaming of this for years. Bude is their dream, finally made real.

The space is generous and bright, with a beautiful terrace outside and a communal table inside that invites you to slow down. The kind of place where you actually want to stay.

Coffee is taken seriously here. The menu is short and deliberate — exactly as it should be.

Badalona has a new coffee spot worth the trip. ☕

At Lilla Kafferosteriet — a café and micro-roastery set inside one of Malmö’s older buildings, with a space that feels more like a living room than a coffee bar.

Wooden floors, worn furniture, small rooms that open into each other — it’s intimate, slightly irregular, and very much shaped by the building itself. In warmer months, the courtyard becomes part of the experience.

They roast their own coffee in-house, which defines the menu: classic profiles, balanced, approachable, with a focus on drinkability rather than extremes.

It’s also one of the earlier roasting projects in southern Sweden, and has played a role in shaping the local coffee scene over time.

We were very well received by the team — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

A place where the setting, the people, and the coffee feel closely tied to the city.
