We recently worked on the scoring for Materia Magazine’s short film “A Sauna Built on Sand”. Our producer, Fernando Montiel, integrated field recordings from “El Papelillo”, a primitive sauna in the coast of Oaxaca, conceptualized by Tezontle during their residency at Casa Wabi, to enhance transitions and add textural ambience to the score. The use of repetitive melodies magnify the ritualistic architectural atmosphere.
